What We Do

The Reach Out Resource Hub connects individuals with the most relevant and accessible resources to help keep their communities safe. This takes many shapes and forms. By using a public health approach, we recognize that everyone has a role to play in preventing extreme and targeted violence.

A public health approach means that everyone – especially friends, peers, loved ones, and family members – recognizes the warning signs and knows when to reach out for help. Individuals commit violence for many reasons and research shows that those closest to them are the most likely to pick up on concerning behavior, but can also be the most hesitant to reach out for help.

We Are Here to Help.

The resources and individuals found in this directory recognize their role in providing wraparound services and support for those who may be at risk for targeted violence. Before a violent attack is imminent, the Reach Out Resource Hub connects individuals with resources who can help them or their loved ones get the help they need. Whether you already know what you are looking for or are searching out of concern, this directory seeks to connect you with professionals you can contact in your state or local community. Never worry alone.

Such resources can include –

  • A mental health professional to consult
  • Service providers (e.g., occupational training, substance abuse, domestic violence support, etc.)
  • Professional teams able to assess and intervene
  • Resources for victims and survivors of hate crimes
  • Programs for individuals exiting prison for violent offenses
  • Community-based support (e.g., religious, athletic, educational, etc.)

As more states and local agencies develop targeted violence prevention strategies, including multidisciplinary, crisis intervention, and response teams, this Resource Hub will expand to include specific services and resources for this purpose. This is a growing Resource Hub as more professionals, agencies, and organizations recognize and receive training on their role in preventing all acts of targeted violence.

2024 Eradicate Hate Summit Group

We believe that no matter who you are, we all have a role in preventing hate-fueled violence. Rooted in the aftermath of the deadliest antisemitic shooting in the U.S., Eradicate Hate has grown from an annual global summit to a nonprofit providing comprehensive, year-round programs all working toward one common goal – to develop and deploy practical solutions to prevent hate-fueled violence. Because together we can make our communities safer for all.

How It All Ties Together

The Reach Out Resource Hub is an initiative of Eradicate Hate and lists professionals, organizations, and experts in targeted violence prevention through the Prevention Practitioners Network (PPN). The PPN is a national network of interdisciplinary professionals already doing this work in your state and local community – and serves as the connective tissue helping to intervene before violence is imminent.
